Technical Notes:
Installation Criticals:
• Fluid Fill: Must follow Toyota's specific overflow tube temperature check procedure (35°C - 45°C) using a scan tool. Over/under-filling causes belt slippage or failure.
• TCM Programming: CVT oil pressure calibration, deceleration sensor zero-point calibration, and memory reset are required after installation using Toyota Techstream (GTS).
• Torque Converter: Ensure full seating ("three clicks") into the oil pump before mating to the engine to prevent pump damage.
• Cooler Flushing: Flush the transmission fluid warmer/cooler and lines thoroughly to remove debris from the old unit.
Maintenance Tips:
• Use only genuine Toyota CVT Fluid FE (do not use standard ATF).
• Perform ECU/TCM adaptation reset via OBD2 scanner after installation.
• Monitor transmission temperature and inspect for leaks after the initial test drive.
